Umvemnyama was founded in 2015 by a young creative who saw himself as an outcast from the norms and molds of society. With the help of his peers, they started a movement that encourages the youth to be breakaway from the expectations of others and dare to be different. In this you truly find yourself.
Umvemnyama means black sheep and we are a movement of young individuals who believe that they are black sheep and we have taken the black sheep meaning to another level where we don’t just look at the negative meaning of being a black sheep but the fact that black sheep are different and they don’t conform to any society norms. Meaning they praise individuality and self where people who are followers and people who live according to the social norms will see them differently and as rebels but to be true it’s just that they never took time to understand them.
Umvemnyama is there to help individuals who want to be different and who believe in change, in that said we strive to encourage the youth to become themselves and motivate them that individuality is key if you live by always trying to become like someone else you will never be yourself.
